Kapray and More

On this Friday, the 18th of December, 2015, I went to Kapray's store launch in Lahore. I love clothes, I adore them but I am very specific about what I like and I factor in a lot of things together before I decide if something is worth buying or not. The colors, the quality, the cloth and of course the price! If you're on Twitter or Facebook, you'd know that Kapray has launched stores nationwide this week, from Hyderabad, to Lahore to Islamabad and a store already in Karachi that has been operating since July. Now the brand is setting up to launch their online store at www.KaprayOnline.com When I got to the outlet in Defence, Y Block, Jugun Kazim was already hosting the red carpet and interviewing the brand manager. Jugun looked stunning and jbtw, her outfit? It was from Kapray. So I had thought that Kapray would be super expensive but I was pleasantly surprised to see that all their casual kurtas we're within PKR 2600! The ground floor was filled with stit

The Importance of The First 1000 Days

Being a Psychology major, I am very passionate about proper child development and people leading healthy lives, both mentally and physically.  So when I heard 'The Digital Factory' was hosting an event with Nestle on the importance of the 1000 first days of a child's life, I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of it.  So I went to the event, held at PC Lahore, on October 17th, 2015 and learned what my course books have failed to teach me.  And I realized, I was not alone, a lot of people don't know the crucial importance of the first thousand days in a child's life.  Being a bloggers event, a lot of people with a big social media presence were in attendance. Dr Huma Fahim, Medical Adviser at Nestle, delivered a very informative

Now what does covering your body ‘well’ mean? I am perplexed by this question. Because I have worn shalwar kameez and I have worn jeans but I still see men leering at me. And this is not just my observation. Ask any girl and the answer will be the same. All the women in Pakistan could don burkas and still be subjected to the perverted gazes of some men. Which brings me to my main point; it is not women who need to change the way they dress, it is men who need to change their thinking. Blaming women for making you stare at them is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard.   I see a plethora of men wearing shorts, tank tops or even roaming around shirtless in the summers (just go to Lahore’s canal on a sunny summer afternoon!) and what I don’t see is women gawping at these men. But how can that be? These men are n
