My BeautyHooked Experience at Depilex DHA

I am a student and thus I usually have too much month at the end of my money.

And to make that money stretch out, I am always, ALWAYS on the look out for good deals. I came across BeautyHooked earlier this year and checked it out, it had all the A-list mehengoolay salons on it and I scoured the deals to find something which would fit my pocket but I found nothing that I could afford. 

So two weeks ago, after my mom mistook my hair for the jharoo, I decided I really needed a haircut. I crossed my fingers and went to look at deals on BeautyHooked again. Just awein, in case something came up. 

I went to the deals page and pressed crtl+f and wrote down the MOST I wanted to pay which was PKR 1,500. I have to say I found some pretty great deals. The one I chose was from Depilex DHA called Pumpkin Spice. The white girl inside me was squealing. 

That being said, I wish the website gave you an option to list the deals in terms of pricing. That would really help. 

So the deal was, that for the price of PKR 1,500 I would get an Express Manicure and Pedicure, Wash, Cut, Blow dry, Styling and Herbal Skin Glow. Considering most places don't even give you a hair cut in that price, this was an absolute STEAL! 

I made my appointment at 8:30 PM and it was confirmed the next day by 11:AM. Pretty cool AND I didn't have to call anyone and have an awkward need an appointment conversation. Technology is a blessing for socially awkward people such as myself. 

There was a little confusion as to the address of the parlor but that was just cause I am a little dumb. However, I think it would be a bit more helpful if we received an email/text to let us know the location/address of the salon. 

The fateful day of the appointment arrived. I had booked it for 11 AM and I was a little late (thanks smog causing Lahori traffic!) but the receptionist looked up my appointment and assigned a manicurist to me right away.

I have never gotten a mani/pedi before but they did a pretty good job. It was a simple scrub, nail shape, massage kinda deal. Honestly, the woman touched my feet without gagging, in my eyes she deserves an award! 


Next up, I was taken to the first floor which is for facial treatments. I was ushered into a cozy little room where I was asked to change into a robe. I awkwardly obliged. The facialist cleansed my face and neck as I lay down on a bed kinda thing (I don't know what its called?). Then she applied the herbal face mask on my face and neck. I sat in the nice little room alone for 15 minutes as she had instructed and sent my friends selfies which would prove good fodder for their nightmares. After my facial was done, I felt like my skin glowed. Maybe it was the lighting, but I like to think it was the facial. 

Finally, the moment I had been waiting for arrived. Level 2; the Hair Station. Yup. I got my hair washed first. I had no idea what I wanted in terms of a hair cut, I asked the stylist to suggest something that would compliment my face shape. She made a few suggestions and I told her I trusted her completely. She told me my hair was pretty damaged from the bottom and she would have to cut a lot of it off, with my permission she lopped off about 6 inches. I mourned each strand on the inside. 

After the cut, she blow dried my hair. When I was all done, in that moment I knew my hair would never again look that good because the best I can do with a hair dryer is well... dry my hair. 

So in the end, I left Depilex DHA feeling pretty snazzy albeit a little sore because 6 INCHES OF MY HAIR GUYS NO MATTER HOW DAMAGED. IT HURTS.

But shout out to BeautyHooked for the awesome website and Depilex DHA for having an AMAZING staff that doesn't insult your complexion and damaged hair but understands and accepts you for who you are. Plus, Depilex DHA is probably one of the cleanest and nicest salons I have been to. 5/5 for the entire experience, I do not exaggerate. For PKR 1,500 this deal was awesome! 

P.S. I was not paid for this. I wish I was. Then I might not be as broke as I am.
